new-ish owner. scale rot?? kind of worried..
I got my first ball python in September. For quite a while recently, he wasn't eating. That worried me alot. But he looked like he was about to shed so I let him be for a while. After way too long, he finally shed and started eating again (eating alot, I might add). While he wasn't eating, I noticed his upper lips looked odd. Kind of brown and unhealthy looking. Then he developed a patch on his side that looked the same. It didn't go away after he shed.
I think he's got a bit of scale rot and I've been trying to find some good treatments. But I'm not sure if there's a treatment that's safe to use around his mouth to get his lips looking better (I think that might have been why he wasn't eating).
any advice? please?

Hello, and to BP.net.
To post photos, first, you will need to upload your photos to your Gallery on this website or to a photo hosting website like Photobucket, Flickr, etc...
-Open up the Reply window to the thread you want to post them in.
-Open a separate internet browser window and go to the site where your photos are posted.
-Usually below the photo, you will find some URL links or codes. Look for the one that begins with [IMG] or sometimes it may be listed as "BB Code". Highlight and copy this entire code then paste it in your "Reply" window.
-Click on the "Preview Post" button to see if the photo becomes visible. If it does click "Submit Reply". If not, then double check that you copied the right code or the entire code. The end of the code should be [/IMG]...
Here is a link to a video tutorial also. Hope this helps...

even easier is to upload on photobucket and then copy image code and put on here. Super fast and easy!
