May I ask when do you started pairing them till you notice such behavior? I'm breeding my spider x normal since the beginning of Dec, lots of copulation and locking. I lost track after the 8th lock. Just wonder when can I see change of behavior

I started pairing mine dec 18. the female has been glowing for about 3 weeks and has gone off feed just this past week. once you start to see the signs you know she's headed in the right direction.

I don't/won't palpate during ovy or anytime that week around the ovy, just to be safe
When you see that build up coming and know an ovy is coming then it's time to let her do her thing.
After the ovy swell goes down then I feel it's safer to palpate.
Good luck on a getting a bunch of pastels
