I can tell you dwarf retics can be very flighty and nippy the mainlands have a better tempermet but with a dwarf still be prepared to have a snake reaching 14-15ft in length. I have a 3yr old mainland yellow head male retic and he is pushin 12ft. Be prepared to shell out some money for food with a retic unless you breed your own feeders. The mainland i have is very gentle but he does have his days. Ive had him out in public with no issues. Ive owned bloods they can have a nasty temper or they can be very docile they are make wonderful snakes. Carpets also have a good temperment. if you wanting a snake that wont exced over 10ft then go with a blood or carpet. I can tell you now for my retic like he sits not havin his permanent enclosure here. or his other temporary encloure finished that im building I have probably about $1400 tied up in him total with everything so far. and with a retic you might want to check your state laws. I have to have a permit just to own him and to transport him. and i do not handle him alone.

he has put on some more length since this picture and im 5ft8 for the record his tail is on the ground
