    Shedding/feeding question

I feed my snake on sundays, however I didnt get to yesterday because The pet store was closed, I was going to feed him today but he has begun to shed, should I wait till tomorrow? I dont wanna underfeed the poor guy, but I know he is shedding and isnt likely to eat

To be honest from what i read there is nothing wrong with offering food during shed periods, most keepers do not do it because the ball python will more than likely not take the food while in shed,it is a rather vulnerable period for them so they cut off from feeding. Do not worry about underfeeding him right now, this is only one missed meal, that is nothing compared to ball pythons who went off feed for 7months and came back strong, i am not saying he will not be hungry but they can go long periods with out food and i am sure a few more days to a week will be nothing of a wait,so just wait until he is done shedding and then feed. Right now just let him do him and shed make sure your humidity is up and temps are good.
Why? Why do humans always look to the sky? Why do you try so hard to fly when you don't have any wings? We'll run on our own legs. - Kiba "Wolf's rain"

If mine is in shed he won't take food...which means I'd be wasting a f/t mouse (I don't refreeze). Live is another story, if you are feeding live, try it. If he doesn't take it, then wait until after he's done shedding. It usually takes more than a day though.

I don't even bother offering during shed cycles; neither of my snakes will even take live food then. The feeding response gets ferocious afterwards, though.
