1 my bp ate on sunday and has not pooped not even the white boney stuff and he has a hard lump about 2 scales up from his scale ive been letting him swim and that help in the past but usually it passes in about 3 to 4 days i feed once a week and tomarrow is feeding time again should i hold off or feed?

2 my bp (same one as above) has been active at night most of the time ive had him lately he hasnt been ive beraly seen him as hes always under his hide when i do handle him he is active tounge flicks and he responds to touch as he always had so should i be worried or is it just a normal thing to do at this time in the season( live in tx very warm and im not sure bout the sex of the snake)

3 ive noticed that my bp has skin that has been comming off now he just shed last mounth and it all came off i dont know if this is bad or not he has had about 100g wight increce in the last month could that be the reason (husbandry is good temps are 88 hot 79 cool humidity is in 55 to 60 and im useing cypress bed as substrate change the water every day)

To answer question 1. I would feed him still. I have some that don't go to the bathroom for a few weeks.

To answer question 2. Most ball pythons don't move around to much. If it is hiding in its hide it is probably happy. Him flicking his tongue is normal. He is just checking out his environment.

    3. I have had younger bp's gain over 100 grams in a month. When this happened they shed twice in six weeks.

As for calming down unruly snakes all you can do is handle them more. If you are worried about getting bit look for a good pair of leather gloves to wear when you are holding them. To be honest though a young bp bite isn't that bad....

    good luck

Normally this happens because the humidity is to low in its enclosure. Do you know what it is? Also what are the temps in your enclosure?

    Re: help

The humidity is a little low which could lead to a bad shed. When shedding I try to bump mine up to around 70%. The temp seems ok. Some may say that the hot spot is a little low, but it should be acceptable...

    Re: help

I only try once a week. If they don't eat it I leave them alone. If you try to feed a Ball python to often it will stress them out, and cause them to go on a longer hunger strike. I have a few Balls that won't eat when they are in shed...

I defiantly would not try to feed him again tomorrow. Give him a week so he can de-stress.
