Thats amazing,it looks so life like. In a few years (6 or so) I want to get one of a Arg.Tegu on my back. Great Tat though,looking forward to see the end result.

I love it so much. Maybe I'm stupid, but I had no idea they could do a life-like portrait, so I brought in cartooned pics of Nergal...and Holly said we should do a portrait of Nergal instead, so I brought him in and they took a pic. It looks just like him!
I am pleasantly surprised and so happy with how it turned out.
Was only $100, too. 
I love it.

Great start! I can't wait to see what it looks like finished.

I told the artist some of the important points of the tattoo I wanted to stand out--one of them was the heat pits. For some reason, I'm fascinate by snakes' heat pits, and as this is one of the main way pythons catch their prey, I really wanted them to stand out. I think they do.
Another thing was their face shape, as it really is only ball pythons who look the way they do. All snakes are different so I wanted people to recognize, "OH! Ball python!"
