Anthill Pythons
Hello everyone. This is probably my first post but I've been on BP.net for a while now. I've been looking for small pythons for about a month now and came up with only one breeder on the east coast. I've been trying to find some a little closer to cali but have had no luck and the classifieds yielded little to nothing. These anthills are apparently EXTREMELY rare but I just cant seem to stop my search because this internet love affair isnt cutting it anymore. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I know they're pretty pricey but I've found some on the east coast for around 400. Also, can anyone tell me why most places dont sell females indiviually and only in pairs?

http://tinypythons.com/index.asp was the only site that I could find any Anthill's. I would really consider contacting some of the larger snake breeders to see if they would have any clue on where to pick one up at.

dragonboy beat me to it, tinypythons is really the only place I see who regularly produces these.
An interesting note: they hatch out SOOOO small that they can't even be started on mice pinks. They are too small to even take that as a feeder. From what I understand, people start them on legs or tails off of f/t feeders.

Wow, I would have never thought that they would need something that small to eat... What do they eat in the wild?

Yea i found tinypythons online but was wondering if anyone knew of a breeder closer to the west coast. I have yet to try contacting some big name breeders for advice so i guess that will be my next step.

Good question as to what they eat in the wild. I'd guess small frogs, lizards, or something similar.
Quick cross-forum link to some baby anthills just so you can see HOW tiny they are!

That is crazy how small they really are... Having to always assist feed the babys.. wow. No wonder they aren't breed more often.
