Re: Gotta love the Honda D series motors!
[QUOTE=jsmorphs2;1517579]That's pretty sweet. Those guys need to learn how to launch those bad boys though.
I'm all about all motor . The first all motor setup I built was fricking amazing!! Started with a JDM B18 w/.25 over-boar, Spoon ITR high compression pistons and Mugen head gasket, Spoon rods, ARP head studs, 270cc injectors w/ STR fuel rail, Spoon thermostat, Exedy stage 1 clutch, custom high flow cat, , skunk 2 valves, Blox intake mani. w/ hondata intake gasket, toda timing belt, CTR crank pulley, cold air intake, Greddy 4-1 stainless header and 2.5" stainless exhaust, skunk2 type r programed ecu, SIR II trans w/ LSD...ummm think that was it, lol. Plus full suspension, all urethane bushings, skunk2 camber kit, & sway bars all around, also upgraded axles.
And YES... I was in charge of the build. The only thing the garage did was build the bottom end. My hubby helped with a lot but it was totally my project.
Ended up running the piss out of it and I blew it up . Its funny now but I was super mad when it happened. Didn't even get a chance to take it to the track. After we disassembled it and diagnosed what happened we found out it detonated and blew up a spark plug. The pieces fell into the piston and destroyed a cylinder. The shop also riped us off, internal parts were installed improperly, not to spec and the ecu which was supposed to be programed for the set up was garbage and led to the detonation and ignition timing problems.

not as easy at it seems to launch a 600 plus hp fwd car on slicks as it seems we have a few cars ready this year should be interesting
