Honestly, animal planet drives me nuts now. It's nothing but shocking cases to make people afraid of animals or just plain old 'reality' tv... I like documentaries and shows teaching all the COOL STUFF about the animals I love! Not just things to shock the public! Just seems like they've fallen, relying on lame tricks to hook viewers. Plus they tried to trick a friend of mine into being on one of their shows--he runs a snake rescue/is a private breeder. He has fewer snakes than most people here! They asked to see footage of his snakes crawling around the house...as well as to film dirty cages before he cleans so they could 'watch the cleaning process'..that's when they finally told them they were from Animal Hoarders! Suffice it to say, he decided he wasn't interested in being on their show anymore, LOL!
Now, I fully believe most of the people they get on that show are legit, but they do some tricks of their own to make things seem much worse. It IS tv after all!
