    Hello from Freezing Massachusetts

Hi all! I absolutely LOVE this forum so far! My name is Leah and I am 22 years old. I live in Massachusetts and I am a single mother of the most hyper, snake- loving 4 year old ever, named Jake. I have always loved snakes, I knew people that had kept them and I have handled them before, but my whole childhood I lived with my step father (who is a pansy and deathly afraid of snakes), so I never had one. I've lived on my own for 4 years now, and I just recently realized that.....I can get my own snake!!

So I saw a reptile store at a pet expo that I went to, handled their snakes and fell in love. A week later I was fully prepared to get my own ball python, so I went and picked up Julius. I don't care what anyone says, he is the sweetest boy ever. I thought people were joking when they said snakes were addictive....but NOW I understand! It's a good thing I'm not rich...otherwise I'd buy all those fancy morphs! But for now, I am perfectly happy with my first. I am looking forward to learning more and talking to people with the same interests (it seems everyone I know hates snakes....they suck).

Anyways! I am very glad to be here and meet all you wonderful people.

    Leah

Well Leah, We are glad to have ya here! There is a ton of information on here! Sometimes you have to look for it in the "search" areas and sometimes you have to ask. Remember, no question is a dumb question when you do not know the answer, so ask away! Everyone on here is very passionate about their reptiles and are eager to pass their knowledge on for the well being of all reptiles.
Have fun and enjoy your newest addition "Julius".

Welcome! Ya I started with one and got to 40.... Oops! I spose I did it to myself. I can't get enough of them. And seeing little ones come out of eggs is highly addicting too. They should all come with surgeon general stamps! The weather spoiled
Us all here on the North east section. I'm in Vt so we freeze every year I got a little too excited for nice weather and it's 8.f again. Oh well winter is crap. I guess that's why I keep my house like a rainforest. Hot hot hot! Congrats on your new addition!
