    Males on hiatus???

I have 4 or 5 males that were very enthusiastic about breeding between Nov and the beginning of Feb. Now they've all lost interest. Seems like all at once. I haven't seen any ovulations either. What's up with that?! We even just had a big rain/snow storm and NADA! Come on boys...

I only have one male working this year, but he seems to have given up also. I haven't seen an ovulation yet but three seemed like they were going to be soon.

    Re: Males on hiatus???

I only had one male and one female able to go this year and they were locking all the time and she was developing and bowl wrapping and then one day she shed, lost nearly 100g, and they stopped locking, so now I just have 2 non breeding snakes that are both off feed...for near 4 months now..

I have several males that never got interested
But I have three males still breeding, two of which are also still eating.

    Re: Males on hiatus???

Our male Mojo did a great job from about Aug. til Jan.

Now he doesn't seem to be locking up anymore--I say "seem" because we haven't had time to check if he's locking up each day. He at least has locked with all our girls a couple of times each.

We've seen what we think is ovulation from our biggest girl, and if it was, should be expecting eggs next week or so... hope so.

Anyway, our male is still producing sperm plugs, but he's not near as aggressively breeding as he was at first. Who'd have thought a guy would get tired of that?

My guy seems to have lost interest. He has been breeding his female since August. I think he figures if she isn't pleased by now he's not gonna be able to please her! She is still scenting and tail wagging at him though...
