When do you stop pairing?
I know Ball Pythons can technically breed any time of the year, but at what point in the normal "breeding season" do you decide a female is not going to lay and stop pairing a male with her? I have a few girls that are approaching a good breeding weight/age and I am trying to determine if it's worth pairing them at this point or do I just wait til next year.
Just curious...Thanks for any advice.

Hmm that's a hard one. Many girls have already ovulated or are very close to ovulating at this point in the season. I'm not experienced with breeding all year round so I don't know how much help I would be. If they are up to weight right now you could try it for a couple months and see what happens. Or just wait till next season and they will be up to weight for sure! Good luck on whatever you chose!

Re: When do you stop pairing?
I tried breeding two girls last season and began breeding them in October. I witnessed many locks and follicles were developing well. But neither ovulated and I believe I stopped pairing them up around April or so, maybe a little later. If you haven't started pairing them yet and they are a good size, go for it!

Re: When do you stop pairing?
I pair them until they stop locking up .Once your females ovulate they have no reason to need a male.
