Ugh, yikes. That's definitely not a mojave. Once you are little more experienced with mojaves you can easily pick them out from normals. If that lady told you he was a mojave, you should get your money back.

He is a gorgeous normal though!

To clear up any wondering on if he is or isn't a mojave, he's ABSOLUTELY not a mojave. He's a nice looking normal. Mojaves are a color AND pattern morph.

A young mojo with a year old mojo

And a mojo with a normal. He's a dark reduced normal, but still....

Now can you see the difference? Yellows, grays, flames, blushing, and pattern? I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just telling you that if you paid mojave price for him you should be throwing a fit. Looking at the eyes/eye stripes means nothing. Normals have those stripes. The thing to look for in a mojave is color and pattern.

If you still don't believe me

Yes definitely get your money back or ask for a male mojave. I saw some of her ads. She has some crazy and unique mojaves. I'd get a hold of her and maybe show her this thread. I only pointed it out so you wouldn't be upset in the future when you bred and got no mojave morphs!

LIke I said in one of my previous posts, a good lookin' normal (:

+1. My first thought was that he wasn't a mojave.

We're all here to help fellow herpers and to attempt to protect them from scammers. Hopefully you miss heard her/miss read something, and you didn't pay mojave price.

Oh and excuse my rudeness, welcome to the site and the addiction!

I also looked at some of her ads, she has some fantastic mojaves! I also believe she would know the difference between a normal and mojave. I would talk to her and see if it was just a misunderstanding. Either way you have a very beautiful normal
1.3 lovely normals 1.1 Piebald 0.1 red tail boa (Pandora) 1.0 sinaloan milk snake and one nasty corn snake! 2.3.1 Cresties 0.0.1 chahoua 0.0.1 leachianus
    1.1 Ferrets (Snoball & Panda)

Yeah she seems like a reputable breeder. I'd just talk to her and sort things out (:

Mojave is not a recessive morph, therefore there is no such thing as a het mojave.

Mojaves don't have hets, only recessives have hets. Mojave's are a codom morph, also known as a visual morph. They either are or aren't mojaves.
