New bp humidity/shedding question
I just got a new baby ball python a few days ago and he seems to be settling in quite nicely, but i got him from petco and he looks like hes about to shed and he has a bit of dry skin on his snout, the other bp in the enclosure was having a hard time shedding so i figuired the humity was off in their enclosure. Right now hes happy in his 20l and i just got the temps in his tank stable and on track, ive got the humity bumped up to 70% while hes shedding. My question is since hes been in a dry enviornment should i take any extra steps before he sheds to ensure a proper shed?

Just give him a bowl big enough to soak in if he wants too. You should be fine.

As long as the dish is available to him and you have the ambient humidity at around 70% he'll do what he needs to. Mine has never soaked, and he hates getting wet. My friend has one who absolutely adores water, and he'll enjoy a little swim in the bathtub every now and then. It just depends on the snake.

Yea Mitch isn't to fond of water he started shedding today and it's not one perfect piece but he's getting it off, he shed his eyecaps so I guess that's a good thing

As long as they get it all off, it's a good shed. Just because it's not in one piece doesn't mean anything in my opinion. (Although they are cool to keep afterwards)
