age is a important factor also,my worst feeder two years ago laid 6 large fertile eggs at around 1000 grams but she was 4 years old.
breeding a small young female is borderline foolish IMO.hope this helps.
X2 and I have heard that they will continuously lay smaller clutches and you run the risk of her dropping too much wieght and not being able to breed the following year. not to mention the risk to her health. It can be done obviously, but is a good idea? Probably not.
