My big boy has a few of these as well. I have seen some pictures with bent scales like that having mite eggs lodged in them, but I checked all the bent scales on my guy and didn't see any... if there's no eggs, I don't think it's a huge problem. Mine don't go away with sheds, either. I wonder if it's from when i fed him live rats...
