Dog food suggestions
Hey everybody. I have been feeding Zoey Innova Evo for the past year or so and she loves the food and it seems to be quite healthy for her. However, it does tend to get expensive after a while. Do any of you have suggestions for an alternate food? I'd really like to keep the quality of the EVO if at all possible. Thanks in advance.

If you can get a hold of it, try BG (Before Grain) dog food. It comes in a black bag. I get about 11lbs for $24. It seems a little expensive but because it is a grain free food (which is better for your dog), your dog will eat less of it. Not sure what breed of dog you have, but this works great for my small dog. My boy is about 12lbs (or more, he's a little fatty) and goes through 11lbs in about 2 months or more depending on if he's getting wet food.
You could also read into a raw diet if you are willing to try that.

Re: Dog food suggestions
Innova Evo is also grain free and I wouldn't really consider switching to one that wasn't grain free. I have looked into raw and I am definitely able to spend the extra time but my concern is the cost (college student). Zoey does eat a decent amount because she is quite active and around 60 pounds. If Evo is the best option for me now I have no problem keeping her on it. I just thought I would ask for other options to consider. If I could feed her raw for the same cost now I definitely would switch instantly.

Feed raw for sure
We followed a recipe for our Bengal cats and bought the right supplements and vitamins for the mix.....and it was cheap!!
Im talking like 50 cents to feed 2 days a day, IF THAT
They eat less on raw diets

Interesting. I've never actually priced out a homemade raw diet. If it's actually cheaper that would be a huge win-win.

Oh yeah dude, way cheaper.
Their poop was less frequent and stopped stinking
Their coats improved as well
Just ground it all up into a 5 gallon bucket and spooned portions into ziploc bags and froze it all. Then thawed out whatever I needed for each feeding. Simple
The store bought raws are spendy
Find the right recipe, and roll with it.
