    the person who bred the snake has nothing to do with weather or not it feeds as an adult seasonally. In another year your snake may start fasting as well. Ive noticed it starts in the 900ish gram range for females.

    Every sexually mature bp I've owned has gone off food seasonally. male or female. Some males as small as 600 grams.

    OP: if its a ball python, its going to stop eating at some point, and start eating again in the future. For reference, my first snake, a normal female ball, stops eating from SEPTEMBER until MARCH. She keeps her body weight and tone, shes just more interested in males than food. As long as youve got your husbandry nailed down, its no big deal. They'll eat when they are ready.
