    Is this normal

So I have a female that locked with my pastel yb 2 days ago and laid eggs yesterday. I thought they would not let the males do their thing when they were already gravid? My incubator is still not working right so i had to take them to my buddy's house. here is the only pic that i took. Sorry for the bad pic its a cell pic

I'll add congrats as well and say that it's probably not typical, but in the world of BP's, what is? Yeah, usually my girls will not lock after they become gravid and I think that's typical.

Out of curiosity, your girl had to have gone through the several phases of ovulation including the pre-lay shed. Once she did that, you knew eggs were coming, right? So then why did you continue to pair her with a male or attempt to? Again, just curious - not busting your chops.

To be honest I did not see her ovulate and she has been off feed since I started pairing her in November and have not shed since October so thats why i put my male back with her. I guess this girl was just messing with me since this is my first time breeding on my own. I have 3 other girls that have ovulated and I can see them starting to get fat in the lower part of there body so I know they are getting ready to lay soon. Thanks for all of your replies. Goodluck to everyone thats breeding this season.

So it looks like 6 normals. I guess my PYB didnt get the job done and my dinker is not dominant or co dominant or I have the worst luck in the world. I don't have pics since my camera is not working.
