Sperm Plugs
So I was just introducing my pairs again today after a week off and one of my males was in deep shed so I didnt introduce him. However his vent looked a little funny so I popped him a little bit and his sperm plugs popped out a little. It kind of startled me a little bit as I barely used any pressure. I didnt want to leave them half hanging out so I removed them and placed them on the back of another female that is in with another male hoping is would get him going. My question is how long does it take males to replace sperm plugs, I want to get him going again after he sheds but will he be ready to go?
Thanks

Haha. Yea he'll be ready to go pretty soon. Normally within a few days they are full of baby snake making stuff.

Re: Sperm Plugs
Perhaps I'm mistaken here, but I was led to believe through an article on VPI that "sperm plugs" are not indeed related to sperm in any way but rather a hemipenial casts which consists of shed hemipenal skin with a bit of mucus. To my understanding "sperm plugs" have nothing to do with if a snake is ready to breed or not.
