Snakes getting on the same clock?
You know how it's been proven that women who are with each other a lot tend to get their menstruations at about the same time? Well I'm starting to think that a similar thing might be happening between my two snakes.
I've got a young female Central American boa who I've had for a couple months now, and then there's my older male ball python who I've had for almost 7 months. They're in the same room (but obviously not the same cage) and are on the same type of bedding. Their feeding schedules are different though, and they're on different types of prey.
However I'm starting to notice that when one urinates or defecates, the other will urinate/defecate within a couple days of that, or when one goes into shed the other follows close after (my boa just shed off today, and my ball is looking really close to blue now). Has anyone else noticed this with their snakes?

I don't know about using the bathroom, but all 3 of my snakes tend to shed around the same time. Usually within a day or 2 of each other. It's kind of weird lol.

Re: Snakes getting on the same clock?
Same here. When one of mine go, it starts a cycle with the other nine. I have two that are sisters, but right now about 100 g's apart. When the bigger one sheds, all my other ones go and then the little sister is always the last. Funny.
Bathrooms are pretty consistent actually. With the eaters anyway. But every once in a while I have one that goes right before feeding day. Emptying out I guess.

I was just thinking about this the other day. Both of mine usually start shedding within a day of each other...I've always wondered if they synch themselves to each other in some way.
