conflict over spelling of baby name

we're expecting a little girl and we're conflicted over how to spell the 1st name. he wants to name her misha evelyn and wants to spell it "misha" but i wanna spell it "meesha".
i think it'd be fair since he chose the name...let me play with the spelling.
    i dunno.
i'm ready to just tell him "misha" is out and go back to the drawing board for another 1st name but i cant think of anything that'll go with "evelyn".
    what do ya'll think?

Spell it however you want, that doesn't matter. My sons name is Tristen.....typically spelled TristAN.....however I chose to spell it TristEN. Who cares!! His middle name is a spin off of his grandfathers. Grandfathers name was Raymond. Tristens middle name is Rayz...

Rayz as in rays of sunshine and Ray's grandson. ??? I just wanted to be a smidge out of the box!!!

Re: conflict over spelling of baby name

However you end up spelling it, it is a nice name, I think you should stick with it! I think the way you want it (Meesha) is more different than the other way, I prefer that. People always ask why we put 2 LL's in my sons name Collin... We just wanted it different.

    Actually, I LOVE "Misha"

To me it is more different then Meesha. To me the double "e" just makes you want to say it Meeesha. Long drawn out.

I would like "Mesha" as well, just not the double "e".

But honestly, that is just my preference, you have to go with what you like

Re: conflict over spelling of baby name

thx for all the thoughts. i tried to get a good fair compromise today but he shut down and was like "it doesnt matter."
that's his way of avoiding a conflict.
    so...meesha it will be.
i mean really, arguing is not neccessary, having trouble agreeing on a name is one thing but having conflict over the spelling...rediculous.

Flip a coin, play rock paper scissors, or wait until he's not at the hospital and name the baby then.

Mommies usually get the final call on this one.

    Good Luck!

Meesha reminds more of a pet's name then a kids. Mischa or Misha is much for human-like in my opinion, lol!

Speaking of which.... My wife and I had this huge debate on circumcision, I was against it she was for it. Long story short when the dr. said I didn't have a choice I informed him that he didn't have a choice in me punching him in the nose if he didn't keep his opinions to himself and I told my then wife that I would divorce her if she got him circumcised. Her whole family was there it was kinda crazy in that room and security was called...

I like Mischa the best, or Mescha is a close second. I do not like Meescha at all. Just my opinion take it for what its worth. On a side not CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!
