Help with feeding

Hi. I recently bought a ball python I've had her for 5 days now. She addapted very well is active and very docile. I provide her all the things she needs.

I just have a problem: I only found one store that sell ball pythons in my country and the only one available was eating alive mice. Today was feeding day so I tried to feed her frozen prey and she refused it. What should I do: keep trying with pre-killed or try and give her living prey? I really want her to get used to pre-killed since it has much more advantages, but I don't want her to stop eating.

Right now your priority is to get your BP to eat, switching is secondary.

Offer live try doing so for a few feedings than attempt switching.

Agreed, Also how old is the BP? if it is an adult, then give it a few live feedings to get it settled in and then try to switch, this way it wont be in danger of going off food

If its a baby, like 800 grams and under, then dont attempt to switch him for awhile. give him a good long time to settle in and then try to switch him to FT, if he starts to lose weight though, put him straight back on live (if he doesnt take FT that is)

She is 6 months, 2ft60'' and about 2'' diameter. I do not have a scale to measure her weight but i'll get one soon and i'm trying to feed her adult mice.

As other said, Priority is to get your snake to eat. Once she has had a few consecutive feedings then you can try switching to frozen prey.

Make sure you wait 5-7 days in between offerings. Since your snake didn't eat this week, wait another 5-7 days until you try again. Offering food too often can make the snake more stressed out and less likely to eat.

I tried to feed her live prey and she struck right away. I'm less concerned now, and I'll try to change her eating habits slower. Thank you all =)
