I do not personally have any desert morphs. From all the photos I have seen they really do brown out as adults. There have been some pictures that I really had to lool at and ask myself is that a desert, but the pattern gives it away. As adults they are still lighter then normals, but do brown out. By no means am I bashing this morph though. I think the desert is a must have in all collections. I think they do amazing things to all other morphs. A very clean,crisp,and bright snake. With almost 90% of ball pythons you will see some degree of color loss as the snake ages.
