If he stays in his hide he's comfyIf they are out roaming all the time day or night they are trying to look for a safe place to hide. I've never heard anything about their tongue, frankly I don't know how you could judge by that. They flick faster when they sense heat/smell food. I have an '08 who always hisses at me, and a couple '10s that hiss at me every now and again. They do it because they are agitated and don't want me to bother them, but do I listen, nope!
