    New FORUM!

    Hey everyone!

We're going to try out a new forum and see how it goes. This is a sub-forum under our "For Sale/Trade/Adoption or Wanted" forum. It is called "Adoption & Rescue REFERRALS".

I'll be making a "How to use this Forum" thread in a moment that will be stickied at the top. But in a nutshell, this will be a special forum where folks can REFER members to a particular shelter, rescue, vet's office, etc that has a specific animal in need of a new home. This will not be used for members trying to adopt out their own animals...that is what the regular sales forum is for. It will also not be used to link to CL ads.

All new threads created in this forum will be moderated and must be approved by staff before showing up publicly. Members wishing to place an ad here must be able to provide legitimate contact info for the entity that is trying to place the animal.

Some protocol will be similar to the current Sales forum...such as members not being allowed to respond directly in the threads. (PM's can be sent to the OP if you have questions) The OP will be allowed two "bumps" of their thread and then it will be locked. However, there is no "ad limit" in this forum and threads placed here will not count toward a member's ad limit in the regular Sales forum.

I hope that makes sense. I'll try to compose something a little more comprehensive and legible for the actual forum itself. This is currently in "testing" mode and if it is abused, mis-used, or otherwise makes a huge nuisance of itself, it may be shut down. But it's our belief that this could be a nice asset to a community that deeply cares about animals and wanting to find them homes.
