    help

i posted a few months back about a BP i found near a dumpster and rescued. he has been doing great. but 2 weeks ago he started his shed...lasted a whole of 2 weeks which i don't know if that is normal but he has never taken that long. then last night i was looking at him and he didnt seem as dull and his belly was not pink, but no skin anywhere. today when i went to check on him i found he had shed finally. he has not eaten in over 2 weeks. and still wont eat. i noticed today when i took him out, i was check his eyes to make sure he didn't have any retained caps. none. but on his right eye it looks like he has a scratch. not big and not deep. but i dont know what from? will he be ok? doesnt seem to be acting any different other than not eating.

    Re: help

Should be okay but a picture is needed. It could in fact be a crease instead of a scratch.

    Picture Please,

Yup could be retained eye cap. A pic would definitely help.

Check the shed and see if both eye caps are attached to the head portion of the shed! They will go clear right before they shed. Two weeks does seem a little long so next time he sheds, get his humidity up by misting the cage regularly!

Going for two weeks without food isn't a problem. Follow seeya205's advice and your snake should have a normal shed next time.

Are you sure it is a scratch and not a dent? the little dents are often low humidity sign. How was the shed complete?
