    Pied?

    Are there any tale tale signs of a het pied I have what looks like a normal but he has white going up his sides bout a fingernail up his sides are speckled white is he just a normal or something else I thought a sugar but he is darker them any sugar I've seen will post pics soon

    Your snake is more than likely just a normal with cool coloring, or it could possibly be a really dark/low quality sugar.

    Here's how the het-pied markers work. Sometimes het pieds are ringers, but that doesn't mean all ringers are het pieds. Usually it's impossible to tell a het by "markers" because sometimes normals will have the markers, and sometimes actual hets won't have the markers. In general if it was sold to you as a normal, it's a normal and not het. Especially with something like piebald, which is a pretty expensive morph, the seller would know it was a het and sell it to you as such. The likelihood of your snake being a low quality sugar is slim too, because the seller would probably know it was a sugar as well.

    Ok I bought this snake from a petstore that takes rescues and hive sways and the guy didn't know much told me they like really dry places

    Ya this is my first snake and I would have gone with what he said but I resurched alot and learned much better

    now that i really look at him he could be a yellow belly he has speckled belly and whiteish lines all the way around his markings looks alot like this but i dont have a camra to take a picture
