Not eating right
Every sunday i wake up thaw out the rat pup warm him up than its feeding time for my bp but for the past 3 weeks feeding him has been a complete pain. Everytime he grabs it constricts it than when he tries to eat it he starts at the ribbs instead of the head than 5 mins later the rats still sitting there and my snake is on top of it looking for the rat but cant find it even tho hes on top of it.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Re: Not eating right
This happens to me with one of my females, I've noticed that she likes a little more privacy when its feeding time. Throw the rat in turn off the light and leave him be sometimes that will do the trick.

Yep, shut off the lights and leave the room. If you see him constrict it and kill it, leave him in peace. Some are shy and need some space. BPs are dumb, there's no two ways about it. When they are young they are especially so and need much more time to figure things out. Once he grows up a bit he'll get it figured out!

Also, sometimes I heat the head a little more under a lamp, not hot but warmer, for some reason that also helped..
