Couple questions befor I complete my order
1. To heat a 42L Tub what is the proper flex watt? 4' or 10'?
2. Since I'm going to have smaller snakes also should I buy 2 Ranco ETC-111000 Pre Wired? I have one in my check out right now but was thinking the 4' and the 10' must be different wattage?
My order so far befor I check out
3" Flexwatt Heat Tape - 10 Watt/Ft
Wire/Clip/Insulator set
Aluminum Foil Tape
Ranco ETC-111000 Pre Wired Outlet
Hatch Rite
My Weigh 7001DX Precision Digital Scale with Weighing Bowl
Chlorhexadine Gallon
1 oz. Pump Dispensor
Ball Pythons In Captivity - Professional Breeders Series
Reptile Relief 8 oz. Spray
Thanks you guys for the help

Do you mean 42QUART tub? Not that it makes that much of a difference. If you are housing babies, I would go with a 6quart or 15quart tub.
Also, do you mean 4 INCH and 10 INCH flexwatt? I assume you do
If you are using this for belly heat, the 4" should be fine. Is this for a rack setup?

well I have 2 large normal females and I'm picking breeding ready pastel monday thats why I asked about the 42L. I was just making sure that the 3' would be fine for all the tubs from newborns to full grown. Also yes this is for a rack setup

I use 3" heat tape in my rack. I have it setup so that I can fit one 32qt tub per shelf, or two 15qt tubs per shelf. So good for babies and for adults

Sweet thanks for the help Once everything is fully setup and the snakes are in I will do a big post about everything. I have just been saving up the funds for some time and latly have been doing the research and getting everything in place but I just ordered all that. just have to go pick up the tubs.
Question: how many holes do you usually put in your tubs are far as the top and sides?

3" Flexwatt Heat Tape - 10 Watt/Ft...........get the 11", you can build a rack to hold 41 qt tubs and just push the smaller tubs in as needed to reach the flexwatt. In 6 months you will be rocking 28 qt tubs anyways.
Wire/Clip/Insulator set
Aluminum Foil Tape
Ranco ETC-111000 Pre Wired Outlet............only need one
Hatch Rite............take this off your list. You have a year before the season starts again, no need to rush things. You need an incubator first.
My Weigh 7001DX Precision Digital Scale with Weighing Bowl
Chlorhexadine Gallon
1 oz. Pump Dispensor..........prob can find a better one at Target
Ball Pythons In Captivity - Professional Breeders Series............no need, you have BP.net
Reptile Relief 8 oz. Spray...............nonsense
Ceramic water bowls can be found at target and plastic flower pots at Lowes for hides.

Sounds like everything will look great when you have it all setup.
I keep the lids off my tubs in a rack setup. I put about 30 holes in my larger tubs 10 on the front and 10 on the back. and 5 on each side.
The number of holes you put in your tubs depends mostly on your climate. If you live in a dry area, less holes are needed. If you are in a humid area, you may need as many as 100 holes per tub. Experiment with a tub and a hygrometer. Start with a few holes and add them if you need your humidity a little lower.

I have used aspen in the past but I think paper towels are just more convenient. I can buy them cheaply in bulk and it doesn't make such a mess. And I can spot messes much faster.
But that is just me.
