    noob question

    im an aspiring breeder trying to learn the dos and donts of breeding but one of the biggest questions that i havent been able to find an answer to is inbreeding is breeding from the same clutch ok or a no-no

    People do it with no obvious problems. It's up the the breeder. I would try to limit it as much as possible if you do it though.

    There does not seem to be as many problems with inbreeding in reptiles as there is with warm blooded animals. I would say be sure to know your snakes history and be careful. Inbreeding in any animal can concentrate good or bad traits. Try and be sure that your snakes do not have history of health issues.

    Inbreeding is only okay after 2-3 generations but after that it gets worse and worse.

    most of the designer morphs can trace back to a single animal right or wrong it is done very very frequently.

    If inbreeding to get a homozygous animal I've usually heard it's better to breed back to a parent than breeding siblings together.

    I have heard that breeding back to a parent is better they call that line breeding. The reason is siblings get their traits from both parents so brother and sister would have the same. If you breed sibling to parent the parent only has about 1/2 the traits the same as the sibling.
