Congratz with the new addition! I still want a JCP to this day, I envy you LOL.
JCPs can be nippy when young but some actually eventually grow out of their nippiness and become calmer even without handling.
If you really wanna handle him now to get him more used to you then I'd suggest just handling him even if he nips you multiple times. Since he's a juvenile I'm sure the bites won't hurt that bad. I'm still a wuss to get bit but it happens.
