Will a female still lock if she is gravid?

Just curious if a female will still lock if she is gravid. We have a girl who have begun refusing to eat and shed a little over two weeks I THINK I saw an ovulation (first time breeder here) but she still locks up with the male. Just wondering! Thanks for any input/experiences with this topic!

If she only recently ovulated then she may continue to let him lock with her for awhile. Especially if he's an eager breeder and a bit pushy about it.

I had a female last season lock-up until a week before she laid eggs. So the answer is, some do,some don't.

Thanks everyone! I am hoping she is just one of "those girls" who lock right up until she lays! If what I witnessed was ovulation and the shed was pre lay then I should have eggs by Feb 14th

I think everyone gets some pleasure from it or they would not want to do it!
