egg tub setup
when do you guys get your egg tubs setup and put into the incubator?? do you guys do it early so they have time to warm up or do you do it when the eggs are laid??
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

You need to get your incubator up and running before to make sure your temps are stable and everything is calibrated properly, if you do it after the eggs are laid it's a little to late and if you have to play around you might be at risk to lose your clutch.
I usually start mine 2 to 3 weeks after my first ovulation.

I think he's talking about the egg tubs and not necessarily the incubator. It doesn't hurt to set up the egg tubs early, but it probably won't hurt anything unless the substrate was kept somewhere really cold...mine's in the snake room so it doesn't matter...

Breeders I have talked to said that they get their egg boxes ready a few days before they expect the eggs so the box is up to temp when the eggs go in!
