Yes since you are going the irresponsible route and trying to home fix the injury, post pictures so we can see them. I always recommend having a vet to go to or at least a good friend who is a vet.

I feed live every day and if one of my animals happens to get injured, i take the appropriate steps and take them to a vet immediately. That being said everything has been safe so far and i always make sure the rat in in a good grip before moving on to the next animal.
