Looking for Opinions on This Girl... (DUW)

We've been contemplating the possible genetics on this girl for a while and she is notoriously hard to photograph, both in color and squirminess (if that's a word, lol). She looks like she might have granite in her pattern but her sides might not be speckled enough. There aren't a whole lot of examples to compare her to and I haven't had the pleasure of seeing a granite yellowbelly in person. She was purchased as a regular yellowbelly and the seller had no info on her parentage when I asked. She's just under 1,000g now so hopefully it wont be too long until I can see whats up with her.

Here is the link to The World of Ball Pythons granite yellowbelly page. http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...-yellow-belly/

If any one has experience with Granite Yellowbellies, let me know what you think or if any one has tried to prove out a yellowbelly like her what was the outcome?

    Thanks for looking!

She is for sure a Yellowbelly.

Granites are touch and go. Some animals have the pattern but are not genetic. Some are genetic but don't display all the obvious traits.

I would call her a Granite, but not a Genetic one unless she does prove out.

    Fun project! Congrats!

Thanks, genetics are so exiting. I was thinking of breeding her to a codom that will produce an obvious granite combo if she's genetic (and if we hit on it) like our Enchi even though I love Ivorys.

Yep she obviously displays chracteristics of a granite. But she needs to be bred and produce granite babies to be called genetic. Regardless, she's a real looker. Love the black marking on her head. I just noticed, the black marking on her head wasnt there when she's still young right?

Breeding her to an enchi sounds like a great idea. Good luck with her!
The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

Thanks! She just developed that spot recently. It seemed to get darker with this last shed. At first I thought she rubbed her head on something but her scales look perfectly normal. Kinda strange.
