I would say to go with BOTH!!! but you didnt give that as an option
It really depends on what you are wanting now and what you are planning for in the future.
I know you said you want a male BUT if you are thinking of breeding later on, I would go with a female because you have about a 2 year gap there. This way if you do plan on breeding, she will have a head start over the male you chose.
If you stick with a male, I would go spider.
If you change to female, I would go pastel.
