I have mine in 10 gallon tanks with a wire mesh food hopper and a glass water bottle with metal hanger.
Nothing fancy, I used to use 20 long tanks but the 10 gal tanks work just fine.
I keep 1.4 in them and my litters average around 12-14 per litter.

It was about $60. The watering system was another $50. It is not hard at all if you follow the step-by-step instructions. But, you do need some tools...
Here's my 10g tank before I moved them:

I'm surprised they didn't devour that plastic lid!!! When I had them in tanks, they tore that lid apart!! They were even able to chew through my screen lid (one of those lids with the lighter weight window screen type). the only lids they couldn't chew of mine was the heavier screen lids or the ones I made of hardware cloth. Sneaky buggers

What do you use to keep the wire mesh down so when the jump up the dont knock the screen off and get out? Were do you get the glass bottles? I got one from petco last night but, for $5.50!

I am going to convert the bottles over to a watering system because I have to fill them every 2-3 days. Easy way to do it though is to line them all up in a bucket and to use a hose to fill them then put lids back on. Still takes forever. I have the whole rack filled with rats and moved my mice over to sweater tubs right now until I build a mouse rack. I don't trust ASF rats in cement mixing tubs. The way these guys chew, if they got out, they could do some damage
I have them set up in 1.2 and I get about 15-20 babies in each tub, sometimes more and different ages.
This is an old pic and you can see the Big Apple tub on the right. That had mice in it and I had to remove them because they were able to chew the tub. I threw the tub away and wouldn't recommend it. IMHO

Thanx!

I could do 60$ if I had the tools! What size tubs are those? I couldn't find the size on that link you gave me.
