WWII Spitfire Test Flight Photos (serious DUW)

I'm not really sure how many people are interested in this, but I'll share anyway.

When I'm not cleaning up reptile poo I volunteer at a WWII museum near my house. Then plane I spend most of my time on is a mk.14 Spitfire. It flew for the first time last August after a 7 year restoration, then the brakes went out.

So here it is, after fixing the issues with the pneumatic system, flying last saturday. I was in the chase plane (a two seater P-51 ) taking photos.

Buzzing the museum. You can see the main hangers and the wing of the P-51.

    My view out the backseat.

    The aftermath

I hope everyone enjoyed the photos, and if you're in the LA area come down to the museum on a Saturday to see the planes in person!

Very cool! I love planes! The WWII era are the most beautiful in my opinion and the fighters are just down right sexy.

That is awesome! My BF's dad used to fly B52's, he takes us to air shows all the time. I've grown more fond of planes since I've known him.

I'm not a big plane fan or anything, but I have to say that is seriously cool to see.
