    after ovulation the follicles will be considerably large as opposed to the dime size follicles you feel when she is in the early stages of building. since she just shed it could either be a shed before ovulation or it could be a pre egg laying shed. without seeing that ovulation you wouldn't know unless you can actually feel the size of the follicles. if they are still around dime/nickel size then I'd say that shed was most likely a shed before ovulation. there's no real time line as far as pre ovulation sheds but just keep an out for it. as far as pairing goes, what I'm doing with mine is I'm pairing them all the way up until ovulation or the female refuses multiple times. if she's not gonna have it there's no making her

    this is my first year breeding too so I feel your excitement haha, my female is about to start a pre ovulation shed cycle so we could be in the same boat.
