Can multiple cresties be housed in the same enclosure?
Just curious. I am deciding between crested or beared dragons and I want to know. I asked the same question for beards in the bearded dragon forum.

If they are the same size and females than yes, however when they are young you have to worry about dominance which usually lead to one of the individual not eating due to the bulling.
Best is to wait for them to be adult size to house them together, again you can house females together but do not house 2 males togeher.

Another thing is that cresteds need much less space than beardies. Beardies are around 18 inches, and need no less than a 40g. They also need LOTS of food everyday, like 50 crickets a day for youngster, and then the greens. I think you could easily spend something like 400 USD a month on food for a beardie. With a crested, you can buy a little bottle of powdered Crested Gecko Diet from Repashy Superfoods for 3-6 dollars, put it in a dish (mixing with water seems optional), and that's it. Insects are mostly optional for cresteds, but good for youngsters that need growing still.
Just one thing to think about. Cresties and beardies are hardly alike.

no offence but i don't think beardies cost anywhere near $400 bucks i spend much less then 100 a month and now that hes an adult i buy greens about once a month before they go bad

I read 400 somewhere. I think it varies with your area and how much fresh greens are and crickets (because of the virus), as well as the age and size of the beardie.

well if you have a baby beardie you are better off ordering bugs online in bulk and saving urself a ton of money! but i HATE crickets they smell imo silkworms all the way they are soft and full of nutrition!

Like I said in the other thread with the beardies. I just trying to get an idea of a these geckos and lizards. Never had one so I was just curious. I have some options for what my next pet will be, but I am leaning towards a GTP, ETB, or a BRB. I guess we''l see though on which on i decide. Thanks everyone.

MY girlfriend breeds roaches and greens, she spends less than 100 dollars a month to feed 15 dragons.
