No stress No more hunger !!

So I just picked up my first snake (spider ball python) yesterday ....let him hang out all day and night in his tank and today seems like he is pretty happy after cruising around all night long .....today I introduced a F/T rat to him and he took it right away and swallowed it in about 15 mins in total

Im just happy about this as I have heard them going off feed because of stress of a new enclosure and what not and Im also happy because the breeder I got him from was feeding live .....So considering its a new home and its food source has somewhat changed and he took it ....Im pretty sure that he is happy and healthy just pumped about that thought I would share

Congrats! I am dealing with a stubborn HC Albino right now going into the 2nd week with out her showing interest in food. Shes only 120G so if it goes past 3 weeks I will attempt a force feed. My other Lesser hammers food though.... as soon as I enter the room with the F/T mouse she is out bangin against the tub to be fed...lol

Congrats! It's an awsome feeling when a snake eats for you for the first time. Such a relief!
Due to the fact that you just got him yesterday, i would now leave him alone for about 5-6 days. You are supposed to wait about a week after placing a snake into a new home to try to feed, but in this case your snake ate. So giving him 5-6 days will help him become even more comfortable and help him adjust into his new environment. I know its hard to not get him out and hold him, but its for the best. You don't want to increase his stress level, he did just get moved into a new home.
    Good luck!

Yah for sure I was going to leave him in there until he feeds a second time then after he digests the second meal I will start handling him slowly. So far so good.
