    You can really only know a locality if you know the lineage.

    If you don't know the lineage back to original wild-caught adults, then you don't know what locality(or localities) make up its genetics.

    There are differences in looks of different localities, but it very unreliable in determining purity. If you weren't told a "type", I'd guess it is not a pure locality specimen. Just call it a GTP and let its looks speak for itself.

    I highly recommend the book "The More Complete Chondro" for any GTP keepers.
