OK, I've read a few threads on here about the male acting nuts when introduced to the female's tub. Many of the replies said that males can do this, take out the bowl and let them act nuts and that they'll calm down and they'll get down to business.
Has anyone every had the female actually harmed from a male that acted like this? My male immediately started thrashing when I placed him in the female's tub. Thrashing and lurching.
I've probed both animals and am very confident that I am pairing a male with a female. The female has been showing building behavior (on the cool side of tub, bowl wrapping, belly rolling and she's glowing). I suck at palpating so I don't bother to do that. She's also wagging her tail.
I think I just need some confidence building replies that my female's going to be ok and for some folks with experience with males that do this to tell me, "it'll be fine, put him back in there. The female won't get hurt." But if anyone has have a female get bitten or harmed otherwise by a male acting like this I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks to all that reply.
