    Angry People Frustrations/Scares

Kinda has to do with BP's, but it's more of a rant so I figured the Off-Topic area would be better.

Today's feeding just turned into such a fiasco. Decided that I was tired of taking care of the couple of feeder mice that we've had around in case one of the pythons refuses F/T for whatever reason, so I got everything out and prepped to feed to my smaller male (female is already pounding small rats, so he was the best candidate for disposal of rodent xD ). The problem is that my boyfriend's new roommate decided to have six or seven people over, as he has every single night since he moved in, so I was having to do this in the most secluded part of the house I could find in order to keep a huge deal from happening (big help that did...).
As I opened the tub and offered the mouse up for Monty, one of the boneheaded people happened to walk into the office and then shout to everyone else to come and watch -.-' I'm then surrounded by a mix of people who start either getting excited to watch or freaking out about a mouse dying, and one of the idiots tries to come over and grab the freaking mouse! At this point I'm flabbergasted by what he's doing, but ready to grab him when he comes in arm's reach for both the snake's safety and his. Thankfully roommate and roommate's lady friend kept him back (whether it was because I was ready to punch this guy in the face and was showing it or because they figured it was a good idea, I don't know). A few tense minutes of zombie mouse dance and half the people leaving, Monty decides he's hungry.
They left after the recently living mouse was struck, and I went on to just give my female her rat and put them back on their shelf. Now that I've got it typed out it doesn't sound too intense, but I'm still shaken/furious that someone tried to put themselves into a situation where they'd get bit by my BPs and it'd be their boneheaded move but I'd take the fall for it. Hindsight says I should've just stopped the feeding altogether and cleared them out when they came over, but really I was so shocked and unprepared that I suppose my judgement slipped. Being told I'm performing animal cruelty and making the world a worse place really helped too

Blarg, I just wish I had the point of view gun from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie. Tired of having to worry about the chance of misconceptions costing me my snakes I just don't want to deal with whatever legal and personal complications could've happened if that guy had gotten bit and decided to take action for it

Well it's like this, some people are idiots plain & simple, if he decided to puy himself in the way of snake feeding & got bit, well that's on him, you didn't ask for his assistance & he didn't stumble into the situation.

I have neighbors that come to my home who still do not know that I own reptiles, and I have to keep a short leash on my fiance when it comes to my reptiles & showing them to anyone, so that I never run into this type of situation.

i ahte stupid people. i prolly woulda hurt that guy. my temper is pretty bad and i dont really have an in-between, either im relaxed or im punching you in the face. everybody around here who knows i have snakes doesnt go near them cuz i have explained these animals to them and they have a basic understanding that they just like to be left alone. and also if anybody goes near them i get pissed off. i have a good balance with my nephews, they are a lil bit scared of being bit which keeps them away but they also know that they are harmless and they love to hold them when i am around to let them. but they would never just go in and take them out. ur boyfriend and ur roomate really need to stick up for you and your animals. if i were you i would have kicked that roomate out a while ago but thats just me. well its saturday now, drink a lil drink or smoke a lil smoke (good song by the way) or whatever helps you relax andd just forget about all the stupid people in the world. can stress over the small stuff, what has alread happened, or stuff you cant change, if you do ur gonna be a very pissed off person until the day you die
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.
