    Re: Longer spur

    Hi,

    Are you certain that is one of her spurs and not something protruding from her vent?

    Can we get a pic looking at it square on to her belly?

    Like this one of my big female;

    Definate girl - laid eggs and everything.

    Spurs are not a reliable way to sex ball pythons.

    These are the spurs of my normal male - who has fathered several clutches and is, frankly, a bit of a sex pest.

    If you want to know the sex of a BP for certain then you need to have it popped or probed by someone who knows what they are doing.

    Like Dr. Del, I have a female with giant spurs and a male with tiny spurs. Spurs say nothing about sex. Like Dr. Del, that girl of mine laid eggs, and the babies belonged to that male, so I'm 110% sure the female is female and the male is male. Also think it may be something stuck in the vent if it wasn't there before. None of mine have changed size that I have noticed.

    Re: Longer spur

    Could that be motile tapeworm segments crawling out of your snakes behind?

    Hopefully not, a better pic would be good...

    Re: Longer spur

    It seems to be coming from beside the vent not the vent itself
