New zodiac sign?
So today I find out that apparently I'm no longer a Sagittarius. I got bumped to some new 13th Zodiac sign. Ophiuchus a.k.a. Serpentarius. Wtf is that?

Re: New zodiac sign?
Sagittarius Serpentarius (Secretary Bird), the heterotic result of a compromise between the scientific and unscientific approach to the zodiacal constellations. It is an extraordinary bird of prey in the "least concern" category. The word "secretary" comes from the pencils that it stores for the secretaries. According to others, they're arrows which is why it is a Sagittarius. But the bird likes to eat snakes which is why it is Serpentarius.
Does this help a lil?

I don't think the bird has anything to do with the sign, the specific epithet in the scientific name just happens to match the other name, serpentarius. Apparently I was born under it as well. Kinda like it, to be honest I relate better to "serpent-bearer" than to a centaur xD

Facebook was all buzzed today with people posting on this. Makes me wonder how the astrolgers didn't pick up on this and how they were able to give out forcast for each sign daily.
On a side note, your sign HASN'T changed. We use the western, or tropical version of astrology here. It is based on the seasons. In the east, they use the sidereal, which is based off constellations. For them, there is now a 13th sign and others signs have been realligned.
Here's an article on it:
