    Smile A Question about value...

    Hello to all,
My name is J, I have gained much knowledge from this site so I was hoping the members here wont mind helping again.

    Anyway my question is...
what would be the general consenses on the value of a male orange ghost around 700gr?

Here is a little info he was produced from pairing a male bell line (butter, butterscotch hypo)x Female nerd line(orange hypo). I don't have pics but in my opinion and several others he is beautiful compared to most orange hypos. He is also proven breeder to a ball room south female het. Ghost/clown I had around with no male clown genes but she proved out also on the hypo side.

I never sell animals I produce I have always traded out stuff between friends so don't really follow kingsnake values. I will be attending orlando reptile show this weekend and would like to trade towards some additional females. So just my figure but was thinking around $325.00. Does this seem steep considering it is breeding season he is proven and ready and able to be tossed in with any female now. I know it depends on if there is interest from the other party at hand and hopefully there will be.

So any ideas as far as what is reasonable to ask in trade...? 3pastel females, 2pastel ffemales, 1pinstripe female, 1lesser, 1mojo you get the idea. Just would like ideas. If I can't trade him my friend offered to put him on his table but I would always prefer to trade towards additional females for stock. Thanks to all who answer and like I said I don't sell so if I am out of line price wise please let me know. Peace J

well hypo male hatchling are hardly over 100 dollars now and since males can breed way sooner than females, their values don't sky rocket like females do. Id say unless he has a "wow factor" to him id think 200-300

Hmm most Hypo males that I have seen for sale have been between 150-300 dollars just for 200-300g babies. I have seen adult breeder males selling from about 300-1000.

Realy all depends on the quality and what one is willing to pay.

A nice male hypo hatchling can go for $175 to $200. If the proven breeder is as nice as you say $300 is fair.

Be sure to check the show's website to make sure you can even bring him in. Most shows don't allow outside animals to come in, for the safety of the vendor's animals.
