My blood python says no...
I have recently noticed something when I feed my blood python, if I lightly rub the rat on his nose and the whiskers happen to touch his heat pits, he will literally shake his head back and forth rapidly like he is about to sneeze. It's crazy! it looks like a cat or dog getting ready to sneeze. I have fed hundreds of different snakes and have never seen one shake their head like that, lol, it is like he is getting annoyed with me shoving the rat in his face and is shaking his head no, lol. I will attempt to get video of him doing this...

Ive had mine do this....
Its usually when they aren't interested in eating and are trying to "shoo" the rat away and are irritated

Yes, exactly, it's just weird I have never seen another snake do that before. I had the camera ready last night, but he just ate right away rather than do the funny snake shake thing. Maybe I will catch it on video next time...

Now that you mention it I've seen my Borneo do it in the past. He will also rub the touched side of his face on the floor, making it look like he's trying rub off the rat cooties. I'll try to get a video of it the next time I feed.

I just uploaded some pics from my Galapagos Islands trip. I think they are worth checking out.

That is funny, I have seen my bloods do the face rub after feeding as well, like they want to get the their faces clean after getting slathered in thawed rat grease.
