    Black heat lamp DEFECTIVE?

I recently purchased a black light heat lamp from Petco, it was wrapped in alot of packing tape, I had them open it and make sure the filiment was not broken. It was fine. I took it home hooked it up and the light seemed to melt away from the screwin socket part, i immediately turned it off. Has anyone here ever heard of such a problem?

Bring it back and get it replaced or a refund.
